One of Don Mattingly’s sons makes headlines after being pulled over for drunk driving. He even refused to undergo a blood chemistry test when police took him to the hospital for a check-up.

Why Was Jordan Mattingly From Evansville Arrested?

Jordan Mattingly of Evansville was arrested for drunk driving. He is said to have been drunk driving and crashed into the median on the Lloyd Expressway, then attempted to sell the damaged vehicle at a local dealership.

The officers ran a breathalyzer test on him Monday night and found he had reportedly exceeded 3.5 times the legal alcohol limit.

In addition, the Police Department had received several complaints about a silver Honda driving erratically east on the Lloyd Expressway. An unidentified person who is said to have been the witness reported the accident, saying the car crashed into the median of Lloyd’s Center at 70mph before rejoining the road and was “smoking”.

Moreover, another witness reported that a silver Honda driver was entering the D-Patrick Honda Dealership looking very drunk. And the car showed signs of accident damage and was missing a tire.

Mattingly also sustained minor injuries to his shin and forehead, told officers he was there to sell his car and acquire a new one, and only had one drink.

Don Mattingly Son Faces DUI Charges

Don Mattingly’s son, Jordan Mattingly, faces DUI charges. He drove his car while drunk and hit it into the median on Lloyd Expressway before taking it to the local car dealership to exchange it.

But, police were quick to find him, and he was taken to Deaconess Midtown Hospital to have his injuries checked out. However, he refused a blood-chemical test, as per Yahoo News. 

Later, he was booked into the Vanderburgh County Jail on Monday night. He is being held without bail at the moment. He faces two counts of driving while intoxicated, one count of public intoxication, and a charge of refusing to take a chemical test.
